In this surgery, small incisions are made under the chin and ears in order to tone and tighten neck muscles along with the removal of excess fat and skin .It generally lasts for 2-4 hours.

Mini Neck Lift (Submentoplasty)

This type of procedure is suggested if you have less or moderate amount of drooping skin or fat layer around their neck and jaw line area. The procedure does not take more than an hour. Usually surgeons make tiny incisions on the curve of the patient’s neck and try to tighten the skin and remove excess fat from there.

Recovery

The swelling and bruising from the surgery subsides totally and the desired result comes to surface in about 3-6 weeks, until then the patient needs to take certain precautions such as: taking special care until all the sutures are removed by the doctor, restraining from any strenuous activity, taking prescription meds on time, keeping your face elevated while sleeping, avoiding driving, etc for at least 1 week.
